Question
Hi Norma. My arms ar so skinny. I am currently lifting 8lb. dumbells to add muscle and some nice sexy shape to my arms, am hoping to eventually go up to 10 lbs, but don't want to lift more than that. My question for you: Is it true you can build muscle and add definition to arms by using a light weight but doing more reps ? I want to build muscle I just want to make sure I'm doing it right. I do 8 various arm & upper back moves with 8lbs. 4x a week I do 3 sets. 20-25 reps each. my arms burn and actually shake when I'm done. Am I doing enough for my arms and to achieve the look I want. Also, how long will it take to see results ? I have been doing this about 3 weeks now. When will I see the little cuts and lines of definition and muscle that I so want ? Please be as specific as possible !!! Thank You
Answer
Sounds like you are on the right track. Stay with lighter weights until you don't feel the workout. Then, increase your weight. You should see a difference in about 6-8 weeks.
