Why should I use Desktop Exercising?
1. Desktop Exercising is a PC-based software program that schedules exercise breaks during your workday and minimizes the risk of Repetitive Stress Injuries.
What are some common signs and symptoms of Repetitive Stress Injuries?
-back pain
-neck pain
-shoulder pain
-hand\wrist pain
How do I use Desktop Exercising?
1. If starting a "brand new' schedule, clear the activities list by clicking on the "clear" button.
2. "Click to select an exercise"
3. Select an Exercise Category
4. Select a Specific Exercise
5. Select an Instructor
6. Preview exercise or Select exercise
7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 till a complete exercise schedule is built.
8. Set time (of day) for exercise; select audio on\off and preview exercise (if you desire).
9. Select "Save" to save this exercise schedule. Input a name (no extension needed) for this exercise schedule.
10. You can recall this schedule or any other schedule via the "Recall" button.
11. Select "Start this Exercise Schedule" to initiate the programmed schedule.
What types of exercises are performed?

   Linda McDonald

Linda is the owner of a personal training studio. With over 20 years experience in the fitness industry as a teacher, trainer and lifestyle coach, she has certification from AFAA in group exercise, personal training and Polestar Allegro Pilates. Linda is, also, host of the "Television Training Zone", a health and fitness program and is involved in coordinating running events.
 

Joan Wenson

Joan is the consummate athlete and educator, who epitomizes the title of �Champion.�  A National and World Sportaerobic Gold Medalist, racing cyclist, former classical ballerina, renowned choreographer, and international presenter. Joan strives to bring each sport she undertakes to a new level of excellence.
Joan is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as an instructor and personal trainer  She has been featured on local, national, and international news programs, including NBC�s �The Today Show� and �Tonight Show�; TBS� �Good News�Women of the 90�s�; and televised coverage of the National and World Aerobic Championships on ESPN.
Joan is, also, a personal trainer  and is currently teaching a wide curriculum of classes such as Step and Sculpt, Power Pump, Ballet Stretch, FitBall Conditioning, Stretch Essentials, and advanced Indoor RevCycling.


Norma Shechtman, M.S., M.A.

March 11, 2024: "Norma was honored as the 2003 ACE Group Fitness Instructor of the 
 Year".
 

From indoor cycling to Pilates mat classes and nearly everything in between, ACE-certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer Norma Shechtman loves teaching anything about fitness. With master�s degrees in teaching and kinesiology and multiple certifications from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), United States Water Fitness Association (USWFA) and Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), Shechtman has contributed to ACE�s educational offerings over the years as both a correspondence course reviewer and certification trainer. Her numerous writing credentials include Group Indoor Cycling, part of ACE�s Group Fitness Specialty Series, and the ACE Personal Trainer Home Study Program. She is also a certified instructor in kickboxing, Pilates and Urban Rebounding. �I love to teach and love to help people feel good about themselves,� says Shechtman. �Each and every day I teach someone something, it gives me pleasure.�
